I have a wedding next month and need a dress. I've looked in M & S, dotty Ps, debenhams, monsoon, etc etc and I just don't know what to pick up let alone try on. I've spent the past 4 years PG and BFing so have no idea what is trendy, suits me or is apporpriate for a wedding.
I am 5'10" size 18, huge norks ummmm what else do you need to know?

Help me I'm really crap at this.

OK... What hair colour etc? Also, are you planning to wear heels? What colours suit you and what kind of look do you like (ie a celeb you like or a film look or something).

tethersend · 16/07/2010 19:02

What's your budget?

tethersend · 16/07/2010 19:06

How do you feel about something like this?

febes · 16/07/2010 19:08

Thats gorgeous tethersend I have to be careful with G cup boobs though on that cut top.
I like pinks, purples, turquoise... my hair is brown

febes · 16/07/2010 19:10

I like simple styles, just under knee length, not too shiney, ummmm.....

I love that Florence dress PP - someone on here wore it to a wedding recently and people were outraged on here

febes · 16/07/2010 19:24

Tracey Love that dress but not sure I want to wear a maxi? If I could find that in shorter then that will be great.

Posie Definately not white . Not sure the shift will look right with my boobage

OP posts:
posieparker · 16/07/2010 19:29

Never suffered with boobage myself.

plusonemore · 16/07/2010 19:38

nosey-ing in as I too am going to a wedding in a couple of weeks and am similar size. Love the monsoon one and the phase eight one- need to try on though. OP try this bra with low v-necks

Kathyjelly · 16/07/2010 19:44

Do you have a dress, maybe a sundress or a party dress that you really think suits you in terms of basic shape and makes you feel glamourous- ie neckline, length, waisted or not etc.

If you have, then use that as the basic shape. You know you look good in it. Now take that dress to the wedding dress department of every shop you can afford and show the assistant what you are looking for, or look for that basic shape on every internet site.

That way, you are dealing with something familiar that you are confident in, but in fabulous materials and colours and finish. Add glorious shoes and some coloured jewellery and you're there.

febes · 16/07/2010 19:53

Need straps that cover a sturdy bra, I like fitted top and slightly flaring skirt.
