Am almost convinced by the advert. But I've never had a miracle shampoo do what it says it does. It's just shampoo innit

we can only hope lol

My sister is an avon rep - she passed me on some samples and i have to say i am very impressed... being a hairdresser i am normally very weary of products like this, due to the high level of silicones in them which can give the hair synthetic like tendencies and prevent colour from penetrating the hair shaft.

But this is low in the nasty silicones compared to others i know of, and when i tried it on my own hair (naturally very thick, wavy and coarse) it left my hair very soft and sleek and definitely frizz free after just rough drying - i normally have to blow my hair straight to eliminate the frizz, but i was left with soft waves that i ahve never achieved with drying alone before so this is a real novelty for me!!!

All in all i would say that this product definitely gives more expensive products a run for their money!

It's good to hear from a hairdresser!

May definately be worth a punt then...

It is not a shampoo, you put it on after you've washed your hair. It definitely lasts through a wash. I had sports day outside in howling gales and showers today, I used it yesterday and still came in looking good! It's called Lotus Shield and it's £5 in the brochure, I have the current one (no.12)

Just ordered this online.. can't wait til it gets here now, hopefully it will transform my frizzy bush into a glossy mane of ringlets

superv1xen · 19/07/2010 10:47

oooh i want to try this!!

MarkStretch · 19/07/2010 10:52

I have tried a little sample of it and it was nice and left my hair quite silky.

I am not so sure about the 2 washes thing, maybe it builds up over time.

My one complaint would be that it had quite a plasticky smell which put me off a bit.

MayorNaze · 19/07/2010 11:03

that reminds me i clicked on somehing somewhere for a freebis of this ages ago and not had it yet...perhaps the postie has snaffled it...

akhems · 26/07/2010 22:07

...sigh...

been using this stuff since friday and it just doesn't do my hair any favours ( I'm soo disappointed.

Pic of my hair on profile if anyone can suggest something to stop it frizzing up pleeeeeeeeeeease

willybreeder · 26/07/2010 22:12

There was a thread a month ago for curly/frizz prone people and suggested a way of dealing with your hair involving no shampoo and using a little of a particular styling product. A few mums raved about it, I went on the curlies website (!) but can't seem to find the same advice. Anyone want to advise us again?!

akhems · 26/07/2010 22:44

I tried that willybreeder.. didn't work either, lol

I think my hair is just happy in it's frizz and refuses to be tamed

MaineGirl · 27/07/2010 17:18

i have a couple of samples that my rep left if anyone wants to try it (only got two though) just sachet enough for one use.
Have to say it made my hair smooth but left it feeling quite thick whihc i didn;t like as i have quite thick hair anyway.

Flamesparrow · 27/07/2010 17:29

Felt hideous

HinnyPet · 01/08/2010 00:46

I had a sample too, I have chin length hair and it was enough for THREE uses. Take care not to use too much or it feels gooey and takes ages to dry. A little of this stuff goes a long way.
