What's your colouring? I don't think the shoes go with the dress tbh> They are cool shoes, but too formal for the casualness of the dress. ANd I am always tempted to rip the embelishment off dresses like that. Isn't it a bit hot to wear opaques as well? I'd go for skinny jeans, wear the heels, and get a nice top instead

mothersmilk · 14/07/2010 14:23

i wasnt going to wear tights hair skin and eyes are all fair. thing is i wear wear skiny jeans and vintage shirts most days as casual wear i didnt really just want to sling on heals with it. Hmm different shoea maybe? ant ideas?

The dress just seems a bit daytime for a bar, and too casual really to wear heels with, especially with bare legs!

moragbellingham · 14/07/2010 15:11

Agree with above, sorry.
Think the dress is a bit "safe" for a bar, not that I'm advising risque etc.

Maryqueenofchocs · 14/07/2010 16:12

I love it, think you will look vintage cool and the shoes are high enough to glam up the dress...

You don't want to be too matchy matchy as that stinks..

I likey

SandyBits · 14/07/2010 16:16

Where is the dress from? You still have the tags on so maybe you can exchange it? New Look have a lot of dressy clothes at very cheap prices at the moment, I'd recommend a nosey in there if you have time. Or even the Monsoon sale. I haven't been brave enough to ventur ein yet, but if you take the sheos with you you should be able to find something to match

BunnyLebowski · 14/07/2010 16:17

I really like it as well

It's funky and vintagey looking. At least you wont look like everyone else.

I would totally wear that outfit.

cornsilky · 14/07/2010 16:19

I love the dress - not sure about the shoes, would need to see them on. I would wear black wedges myself.

SandyBits · 14/07/2010 16:20

I just think the shoes have too much black in them to go iyswim. Any chance of a picture of you in the outfit? Might make it easier to decide. Am not a fan of bare legs and heels I have to say, but I'm no style icon myself

mothersmilk · 14/07/2010 16:36

the shoes are actually navy not a good pic i guess. i like the dress too much to take it back have been lusting over it for months waiting for it to go in the sale. thanks for everyones opinions. i do tend to bend towards vintage kitch so i guess its not to everyones taste but i just wanted some opinions on it
