Grey eye-shadow...

It's all the rage (I'm guessing) as everyone seems to be wearing it.

Can anyone recommend a nice one? Not too glittery, for day-wear.

And one that won't make me look like Pat Evans and turn a nasty blue-ish colour when I apply it.

Ta.

Bobbi Brown grey

MAC copperplate

quite similar to each other

both have taupey-brown tones so no blueness, both very matt and velvety foolproof to apply

can wear them as light wash or build up colour for more smoky kind of look

My favourite grey is Mac Shale but it has a lilac hint to it, so may not be what you're after.

No idea who Pat Evans is though!

I have a lovely bobbi brown cream eyeshadow - it has glittery bits in but I wear it in the day as I love it - definitely doesn't end up looking blue

Second vote here for Bobbi Brown grey. Very flattering.

I also really like the one by Bloom.

Believe it or not, the Lacura one, from Aldi, is really lovely! I don't usually buy cheapy make-up as I'd rather pay a bit more for something that lasts longer, but this is really good.

I just threw it on my trolley last week as I have been searching for a silvery colour to wear all over my eyelids in the day, and came across this one - I have the silver and dark grey one, not the one in the link here. Tried it when I got home and was really impressed, and have worn it every day since!

You can either just do a light sweep across the lids, or build it up for a darker look. The applicator isn't much cop, but I tend to use my fingers anyway. Worth a go for £1.99
