Any hairdressers in the house?

I had a dark semi permenaet colour put in my hair courtsey of Toni & Guy - I then came to the conclusion that I prefered my own hair colour and was hoping after 2 months of hair washing everyday, my hair would eventually return back to its natural state. Well this doesn't appear to be the case and although the semi perm colour has dissapeared my hair appears lighter than ever. I am naturally dark and now hair looks lighter than ever, whats going on?

My daughter may be able to help you. She is an excellent home hairdresser (has worked in several big name salons as a top stylist before going mobile). She does lots of cutting and colouring, always has happy clients!
