I quit smoking 6 weeks ago cold turkey, all has been great except I seem to have the skin of a 14 year old Sad. OMG its so oily and spotty! the spots hurt like a bitch and aren't limited to my face - neck and chest covered in pimples too Angry
No one tells you about this side effect! Anyone else going through this too??

Me too but once it cleared my skin, nails and hair were amazing! Don't give up you're through the worst bit

murree · 13/06/2018 20:34

InfiniteSheldon I can already see my hair condition is improving!
I won't be giving up don't worry, we have been trying to conceive for nearly a year and smoking was the last thing I can say that I was doing that wasn't helping Smile

So pleased to read this! I’m on day 10. I’m enjoying not smoking but my skin is disgusting!

murree · 14/06/2018 13:55

Fingers crossed it gets better soon Littlechocola

Do you think it's all the crap and toxins in our cigarettes working its way out Envy.

Littlechocola · 14/06/2018 15:09

Hopefully! I had a lovely face mask today and plan on drinking lots of water.

murree · 14/06/2018 18:24

InfinateSheldon I thought that but have also heard that smoking changes your testosterone levels (can't remember if its suppresses or elevates) so when you quit they revert back and can cause a similar effects to puberty Shock
littlechocola I've upped my water intake and am revising my skincare too

Puberty again, noooo!

offupop · 16/06/2018 21:48

Grab some macca and niacin from Holland and barret. Macca will assist your hormones and niacin ridding toxins

offupop · 16/06/2018 21:50

Sorry it's Maca not macca !
