Morning everyone! I am 16 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Have been cutting down for weeks and today I broke all my fags into teeny weeny piece, slapped a patch on and am ready!
Today is the day! I'm excited about becoming a non smoker.
Absolu no reason for this thread except to talk to others.Grin

Four You are doing so well. And great that you are not overeating.

Also second the idea of putting the money away & getting a treat, maybe at the end of the first month of not smoking.

ArcheryAnnie · 13/02/2015 10:32

FourandDone Congratulations! As the children of smokers, I can say with all my heart that you are doing your kids such a huge favour. My mum's last years were racked with pain due to complications from smoking, and I would not wish that on any other family.

FourAndDone · 13/02/2015 10:55

I love the idea of saving the money. However after taking the children for a unexpected day out on wed. Iv already spent more than iv saved!Grin
Well worth it though, I do love a family day.

My aunty had emphysema when I was young, I remember seeing her with oxygen tanks and a swollen body due to steroids?
Anyway even that didn't stop me smoking.
It does now. Iv managed four days I know I can do it now. It's horrifying all the facts and pictures stories etc that don't make a damn difference unless you actually want to quit.
So sorry about your mum Sad

Will start to get easier day by day now Smile

FourAndDone · 23/02/2015 10:45

I'm now on day 15 and still off the fags! Although I am using patches.
Cravings virtually gone now! I'm feeling movements from the baby and feel so much better now that I'm not poisoning my baby.

FourAndDone · 23/02/2015 19:30

Thank you so much! I'm feeling fine about it all but will admit I am scared about dropping the patches down to the next level, not until week 6 but iv got so far and abit worried about cravings coming back!
