I need a vaping Doo dad for around £20

Are the threads jamming or is it just not making contact once it's screwed on? Does the charger work with your silver battery?

I'm not sure your protank is fake (although it could be of course!). This is what the original looks like, with packaging. It's a relatively old model now so I wouldn't be surprised to see them on ebay for not much money.

FWIW, I have a drawer full of all sorts of tanks and clearos, some posh, some not so posh, some genuine, some clearly fake. Most of them (from all these categories) work fine most of the time (barring a couple of really bad fakes). All of them, including a genuine protank and a genuine mini protank II, have leaked or gurgled at some point. Most of the time this has been fixable with a bit of extra wick or turning the rubber seal upside down or some other minor adjustment. Sadly, price and genuine brand is not, IME, any guarantee of quality - even the big brands have had shit QC at times and I seem to remember Kanger being slated for the quality of their coil heads before they introduced the newer, longer post coils. You might want to try one of the newer style coil heads in your protank.

Silver battery (from e-cig wiz starter kit) is a USB charged up one which I charge using my laptop, takes about 3 hours!. (It won't charge with the usb charger from paradise vape)
Leaks like crazy, from mouthpiece mainly. Fixed that by pushing a twist of kitchen roll down the end and putting a plastic cap on it!! Battery life on this one is v good, about two days.
Paradise vape starter kit v good, charges much faster but also leaks when not standing up. The ebay clearo I bought might have been fake - but didn't leak!
It's all a matter of what works, isnt it!

The ecigwizard starter kit looks like it comes with a CE4 clearomiser - they're not the best Try holding a tissue under the bottom of it and blowing hard down the mouthpiece, that can sometimes clear the gurgles.

The battery will take longer to charge because it's a bigger battery - it's 900mah as opposed to 650mah (your Paradise Vape one) - that also means it should work for longer before it needs recharging. Sounds like the paradise vape charger is dead if it won't charge either battery. What is the output rating on the charger you have from ecigwizard? As long as it's not over 500mA (or 0.5A) it should be fine to use it for both batteries.

As you have probably realised by now, everything is pretty much interchangeable. You can try all sorts of different clearomisers and they should work fine with both your batteries. Like you, I never really got on with the top coil clearos (like the CE4 or the much better iClear16 that came with your Paradise Vape kit) because as you have discovered they need to be kept more or less the right way up. Bottom coils, like the protank, are a lot easier IME. MyEpack are good - they sell a big range of kit at very reasonable prices and delivery is fast. You could get 2 or 3 different clearos and see what you like. You might also like the GS-H2 which lots of us use. It works in the same way as the Protank (real and fake ones ).
