I experienced the loss of my baby girl 3 years ago , and at the time I felt the care I received didn’t reflect my cultural or religious needs, and lacked the sensitivity I really needed. I know many families have felt something similar during baby loss or bereavement.
Because of that, I’m trying to learn more about what brings comfort to different families and how people would prefer to be supported. It’s my way of honouring my own journey while hopefully helping others in the future.
