What really is there issue?? That your dating their ex??
Why do they poison the children against the father??
There's been years of nonsense and slating and being generally really unkind to us and telling the kids that we are this and that.
She is married now and its still continuing with the hate.
We have never done anything wrong to her yet she is constantly making digs at us.
If you have kids and are no longer with the father of your children, are you disrespectful about the other parent to your children?

As a SM I bite my tongue and let the now adult SC believe that their mothers a saint one day they'll realise the truth but I'll never be accused of bad mouthing her but no doubt I'll still be in trouble for not telling them about her true colours, SM's cannot win no matter what they do

Agree OP seems like hard work!

Luckily DCS are now old enough to form their own opinions on their DF and his DP. They are surprisingly accurate and their ability to understand issues in previous years sometimes surprises me.

I don't need to slag her off, she manages to do that all by herself with her actions.

Yes, I agree with this completely. It's not fair. And I say that as someone who has suffered a lot at the hands of my stepkids' mum.

I don't think it's the ex who is the hard work here...
