Book recommendations?

Hello
Just wondered if anyone had any recommended reading for blending families/step parenting?
Amazon search seems to produce a list of smug Americans talking bollocks! I would like to read a book with some qualified type people contributing but nothing too science based.
Basically a guide to how not to fuck up the kids Confused
Any thoughts?

TIA

"The step-parents parachute " by Flora McEvedy I found very helpful to take the pressure off my disappointment that all my hard work initially didn't result in any gratitude or indeed acknowledgement from my step kids. Which is perfectly normal of course- now I have biological kids too I know it's all taken for granted- but it's a hard adjustment at first. The book explains you're doing this for your partner and look for fulfilment in that relationship as your "reward ".

12 years down the line I feel that my stepkids do appreciate everything I've done for them over the years, but reading this book helped me settle into my role of full time step mum which was hard at first, (and still has its moments! )

Thank you! Will have a google.
Although DP and I both have children so might not be as relevant in terms of adjusting to parenting x

Stepmonster is a real ‘omg I’m not the only one’. Very good.
