I'm trying to get an idea of what is normal or reasonable.

Thank you :)

My dp used to call twice a day. 6am and 7pm!

I'm amazed the ex put up with it as long as she did.

It's whittled down to nothing now. All the kids are old enough to be glued to their mobiles all the time but they never answer his calls.

Never unfortunately as dp's ex doesn't allow it. the kids have their own mobiles but they are never switched on

it was 50/50 care so I suppose my partner wasn't really nrp but they spoke everyday on the phone.
Ex rarely phoned SS though so I suppose it's different for everyone

DP would phone most days when he was NRP. Just for a quick chat about school and say goodnight. His ex didn't seem to mind, and he never made a fuss if there was no answer or the kids didn't really want to talk.
Now he is RP his ex rarely rings. The children know they can ask to ring whenever they want but they ask less often these days. DP rings at least once on the weekends they are with his ex.
