DS (4) will not shut up! Keeps standing in front of the TV and whinging...aibu to be toying with giving him some biscuits to shut him up???

Dh has brought the portable DVD down for him to watch...I initially said no as 'in my day' if my parents wanted to watch TV, we learnt to do something else until we could put a video on (yes was video in those days ) and its a lovely day, he has a garden, a sandpit, a trampoline and a water play table! But both DH and DS have whinged so much, I have relented....

Now I've got fecking 'they're to they're four they're six and eight..hauling trucks and shunting frieght' in my right ear...

Fecking Island of Fecking Sodor

ZZZenAgain · 27/06/2010 16:01

this is no time for good parenting. Biscuits, dvd

PussinJimmyChoos · 27/06/2010 16:03

You think? DH is now in mood at interrupted footy match...

Still, at least he knows some of what I have when I am on my non working days with DS

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/06/2010 16:03

absolutely - what ever works!

ZZZenAgain · 27/06/2010 16:04

I've often wondered if you sneaked an extra man on in the middle of exciting play, who would notice? And they're all milling about, aren't they? Difficult to count

ZZZenAgain · 27/06/2010 16:05

they've been saying too , there is something wrong with the ball

TriplePachyderm · 27/06/2010 16:05

I would have had biscuits, dvds, pringles, skittles about 10 mins before the match

no four year old will stop me watching lol

Tidey · 27/06/2010 16:06

This is bullcrap. Why can't they watch the frickin footage afterwards and allow it when they can clearly see that it was a goal? Fucking bullshit.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/06/2010 16:10

zen - i don't think the ref would notice if they tried that.

winnybella · 27/06/2010 16:10

French commentators are saying that referee is coming down hard on Germans now, as he obviously fucked up with the goal.

williewalshsballs · 27/06/2010 16:12

COME ON
where's roo???

williewalshsballs · 27/06/2010 16:12

BeenBeta · 27/06/2010 16:13

My view is if an England player dives in the German box the ref will give a penalty no question - even if the ball is the other end of the pitch.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 27/06/2010 16:14

interesting perspective winny - what was their reaction when it happened?

dooooooh

compo · 27/06/2010 16:14

Our commentators sound pissed off with our players and the ref

williewalshsballs · 27/06/2010 16:14

have I already said like the look of that boateng?

OP posts:
BeenBeta · 27/06/2010 16:14

Defoe has out shone Rooney.

Earlybird · 27/06/2010 16:14

Rooney has been a complete non-entity this World Cup (other than his complaints about fans). Maybe he should have been left home with Theo Walcott.

ZZZenAgain · 27/06/2010 16:15

this ref wouldn't notice a thing

who is he anyway

williewalshsballs · 27/06/2010 16:15

choice words fromm james

franke · 27/06/2010 16:15

willie - that's what I've been saying for the whole tournament. I hear that he's quite good at football, apparently.

winnybella · 27/06/2010 16:16

BadKitten- they said that it was obviously in and how FIFA needs to get their shit together wrt the video replay and that it's a shame that things like that can happen in the 1/8 of the World Cup final.

MollieO · 27/06/2010 16:16

Ds at a party. Am enjoying watching the footie without the pleading from him to watch 'my programme'. Ds likes all the paraphanlia but not the actual football.

Ref needs to get a grip of this game or else give 10 mins extra time to allow for German time wasting.

compo · 27/06/2010 16:17

I reckon the score will stay like this until the whistle
