Ok guys, Catinthehat2 started the last one. Who wants to join another?

I'll start

England 2 Algeria 1 goal scored in 17th minute. My £100 paid

Off to work now.

See you all for kick off at 730.

Only 40% of players in Premier League are English. That's the problem.

Wordsonascreen · 18/06/2010 21:55

chiles reformed

I wouldn't call him a c

(maybe after another red I might)

notnowbernard · 18/06/2010 21:56

It did make me LOL though, Kerry

But I then had to try and fend off dd1 (6) who demanded to know what I was laughing about despite my protestation that she WOULD NOT HAVE A CLUE but still she went on so I had to sort of try, then we kind of went round in circles a lot about it

Similar sensation to watching the England game tonight, actually

magicOC · 18/06/2010 21:57

Reformed, glad i'm not the only one taken aback by that comment.

I'm not sure you know much about survival techniques in difficult schools. And anyway, Shrek is quite cute in some ways

williewalshsballs · 18/06/2010 21:59
Hmm
notnowbernard · 18/06/2010 22:02

Is anyone going to watch BBC's take on it?

williewalshsballs · 18/06/2010 22:03

switched over

Oh please don't call a 13 year old that

I'm happy slagging off overpaid adults

BUT REALLY

williewalshsballs · 18/06/2010 22:04

actually, scrap that. going to watch good wife i sky plussed. better use of my time

notnowbernard · 18/06/2010 22:04

Why is Motty not commentating?

I know he's been on the later show but why not at the games?

I love him, he is a national treasure

notnowbernard · 18/06/2010 22:05

Bunch of lightweights

northlondonchoclover · 18/06/2010 22:12

Not much fighting spirit in display at all. Compare that to the North Koreans, who get paid a fraction of these guys

notnowbernard · 18/06/2010 22:18

MUCH more doom and gloom reality on BBC

Ingles2 · 18/06/2010 22:23

you are so right choclover.
The North Koreans wanted it sooo badly, and it showed. They were fantastic imo and I wanted them to win.. Admittedly it might be because they'll be shot when they get home but still

notagrannyyet · 18/06/2010 22:27

Watched it all down at the cricket club.
The lads all went out to play mixed age kwik cricket before half time.

BBQ and company great

Wine fantastic

Game a load of crap

Night all!

northlondonchoclover · 18/06/2010 22:29

LOL yeah agree Ingles2 .. hahaha.. score or die..

well the england players getting absolutely 'trashed' by the media.. maybe its better to be actually shot..

such a boring disappointing game !

OhYouBadBadKitten · 18/06/2010 22:35

oh dear. just put news on.

mrsruffallo · 18/06/2010 22:37

I don't know,it must be hard having a manager that doesn't speak english

OhYouBadBadKitten · 18/06/2010 22:49

Its turning into the eurovision.

mrsruffallo · 18/06/2010 22:54

I man, the interviews with fabio capella are excrutiating.
What's wrong with Harry Redknapp or Roy Hodgeson?

puppa · 18/06/2010 23:54

at least we r consistent in the world cup, consistently rubbish!!!!

UnquietDad · 19/06/2010 09:01

Indeed - England, nul points!

While North Korea played as if their lives depended on it. Which they probably did.

The thought of summary execution for nil-nil draws might focus the minds of messrs Terry, Gerrard, Lampard, Dickhead Cole et al.

That, or the thought of performance-related pay.

notagrannyyet · 19/06/2010 11:01

Do they get paid for playing for England then? You'd have thought they would do for nowt. I'm sure many would......they'd make a better fist of it too.
