Footballers are too soft to cope in any other sport and I don't get why a sport England do so poorly in is so popular over here

That's not an unpopular opinion. Not amongst the many dancers I know anyway.

Premier League footballers are better at their job than pretty much any other group of people in the country.

Football has an almost unique combination of being wildly popular globally, having really low barriers to entry and the top employers having massive global scouting networks to find the best talent they can. Which put together means that you have to be quite astonishingly good at it to get anywhere near the top level, let alone stay there for 10 years plus.

PE teachers should have quite close behavioural monitoring so as not to put off scores of non sporty kids for life with their bullying. So much harm done with their bullying and lazy methods. Not all but too many.

Sports shouldn't be in the Olympics.

The Olympics should be solely for an individual's prowess. Speed, strength, stamina, precision...

Most women’s team sports are rubbish to watch. Especially football. Naming a train line in London after the ‘Lionesses’ is a travesty.

I think they should make the pitches and goals smaller to allow for the size difference and make a better game

Women’s football has made progress, but ultimately the standard is still poor. WSL teams would be obliterated by a half decent boys U-16 team.

Women’s cricket is unwatchable. The basic physics of the game, which evolved to suit men’s height & strength, just doesn’t work for female physiques. The pitch is too long & the ball too large & heavy for women to either bowl with any pace or impart significant spin. Lack of pace on the ball makes in difficult for female batters to play attacking shots. They should play on pitches 2m shorter.

It isn’t necessary to have an up-crotch photo in every report.

Women’s football is shite

Sport should not be reported as part of the news.

Who cares how many points a bunch of (usually) men get at kicky-ball, hitting-a-ball-with-wood or hitting each other? Why is that any more news worthy than another industry, say like fashion, travel, or art or literature?

Footballers should be able to kick a ball into the goal every time for a penalty (fair enough if saved, I mean it should never go wide or over the top). If the top gymnasts can be trained to hit a beam routine every time under pressure, I cannot understand why a footballer can't kick a ball into a frankly massive net. It seems like a lack of discipline in training.

Darts and Snooker are games, not sports
in fact any sport where you can compete while drinking alcohol is not a sport

Cricket is boring as heck. As is Baseball

American football is the absolute pits

Basketball however is great to watch, great to play, and several women’s teams in the US have shown that they can be just as entertaining as men.

PE in school should be based on healthy living and wellbeing not competitive sport. (I've never been competitive)

You don’t need to support the same team for the rest of your life. If they are overpaid, shite, have been convicted of disgusting offences etc, wft would you pay money to go see them.

Can you imagine Adele charging the same money if she lost her voice - no. You’d go watch someone else. Same thing and no one can convince me otherwise
