Amateur boxing abroad insurance

Hoping that some other boxing parents are on here and can help?

DS17 is going to a boxing competition Sweden in November. His medical insurance is covered through his club/England Boxing.

I want to also get him some personal travel insurance for possessions, illness preventing him from travelling etc.

Is there a 'best' way to do this? Has anyone else got experience of doing this please?

I don't know about boxing, but for races I buy normal travel insurance which covers the holiday bit, then specialist sports insurance for the day off the race. The boxing is quite likely to invalidate the medical element of the travel insurance, but it should still cover possessions and delays (just keep quiet about the boxing of you need to claim! )
