Adult Trike, worth buying?

I'm suffering quite a lot with arthritis in my hip at the moment, makes walking very painful. Unfortunately I have to walk to and from work every day and it's leaving me immobile for the rest of the day. I've been looking at getting an adult trike (balance is rubbish too so a normal bike is out), just wondered if anyone had any thoughts/ideas?

As long as you have somewhere to park it, then they are brilliant, and you can carry loads on them. Viking make very easy to get on ones, and can have e assist as well

My mother in law is in her 70s now , but has rode one for years. She never had the balance for a bike. It's great for carrying shopping ( she used to carry my DH on it went he was a toddler) She does live in a very flat part of the country, it isn't a lightweight machine, if you live somewhere with hills you might want to consider an electric version.
