Paris 2024 Ticket Ballot

Has anyone received a link for the ticket ballot? My sister has and it all seems very complicated compared to previous years!

It is super complex and it’s worth joining a Facebook group on it to get advice. Key thing is you have to select your premium event (eg gymnastics, swimming) as the first event in your pack, and then it lets you choose less popular things for your second and third sets of tickets.

but amazing to be able to buy 30 tickets in one go so if you are drawn it’s fab!!

Draws seem to bring announced at 11am every other day as far as we can tell. Our family group had a success on Monday and on Wednesday but not today. So we are super happy!!

Which group would you suggest? I was in one random group but no one has posted about tickets or anything useful in the past few weeks!!

We've managed to get a first batch of tickets. Throughout the day additional events have been added in (diving was the obvious I noticed was missing to start with but now available) hoping some of the rest of the group get a link or may hold out for the general sale as I'm not sure I can go through thay stress again 🤣🤣

I think you should be able to find a good one on Facebook if you search Paris 2024 Olympic planning - its a closed group but has lots of members and much chat.

Got an email today saying I've been allocated a time slot for 48 hours from 3pm Monday. So that's exciting! It does say some sessions have sold out which isn't surprising so I wonder what will be available come Monday. Hope it's not too complicated!

Well Done! If you're on Facebook definitely search for the above group as there's lots of advice and explanations and links about how it works. It's not the most logical of systems!

Hi! Anyone had any luck with selecting their games packs?
I am within my timeslot now however there are no tickets that we want!
the ones we wanted are currently unavailable!

Same here, couldn't find anything worth it. Any sports I am interested in have astronomical prices and we just can't afford 3 sessions at €200 each!

I'm going to hold out for the single event sales that should take place closer to the time and hope I'm lucky then.

The only thing i might have been interested in was the athletics, but its about £360 each!! Crazy!

€200 for only vaguely interesting Paris based event left. We did fancy the surfing, plenty of availability but the airfare to Tahiti was not in budget!

I've been trying to figure it out all evening. Decided against €690 per ticket for athletics.....can't get gymnastics. I think I'll give up.

We have got athletics, rugby 7s and sailing.

Not that fussed about the sailing but means a trip to Marseille and they were cheap tickets. Sooooo

From what I understand this was Phase 1 of the ticket sale, so 3 million tickets released. There's another 7 million tickets to be available in the ballot in May. I think releasing tickets in this complicated way, where you have to buy 3 lots of tickets, and you can't buy certain sports if you already picked a top sport eg you couldn't buy 3 lots of swimming tickets, means that a lot of the preliminary rounds and heats will be full for all sports not just the most popular.

Does anyone know is it all the same ballot? I’ve got a slot for the ticket packs but will I be automatically put into the draw for individual tickets?

Has anyone been drawn for Round 2? I've got a slot starting soon but reading online there doesn't seem to be much left unless you want to chuck a lot of money at it!

@Whatthetrolley yes I’ve got a 48 hour window open this weekend. Most sports are crazy prices so I think I’m going to go rowing or a rugby 7s game.

We found that some were listed but there was only one ticket available for the event/date/price. They also appeared and disappeared as presumably bought or released. It was tricky to judge whether travelling between different venues for sessions on same day was feasible.
