I disagree, these players are paid so well, it isn't unreasonable to expect bread and butter performance, it was skyed not saved.

They are only human, though, and you can tell they care desperately. It takes such courage to step up to take a penalty and I always feel for players who miss (unless it’s against my team, natch…😆 ).

I feel really sorry for Kane and hope the press don’t go in for their usual gleeful crucifixion. If we lose this, it will be down to bad luck, not bad players or lack of effort.

The press will never go after Saint Harry though. Even though he was a useless muppet when it came to the crunch.

I blame Southgate more though, he made the wrong choices when we needed him.
