A lot of the fans at my club who are boycotting the World Cup are going to our Under 23 matches (there are a few left before the winter break) and / or our ladies team instead of engaging with the world cup.

Unfortunately the first one is today while I'm still working but I'll get to at least 2. Our Ultras are going too which may be good, may be a shitshow (I'm guessing they'll behave at the away match). Best thing from my pov? as a club member i get into home matches for free

I don't watch football at any level but have been horrified about the World Cup and would boycott it if I was a football fan.

I know a 14 year old football mad boy who is refusing to have anything to do with it.

Hugely impressed to hear Rod Stewart turned down a 1m dollar gig there and has spoken out about Qatar and Iran.

The World Cup was 'awarded' to Qatar (& Russia) due to corruption in FIFA, none of the current crop of players were involved in anyway in these decisions.

The vast majority of the 832 players (26 per squad in 32 teams) have got where they are through hard work, determination, pain & injury etc. I will watch some of them play, and will cheer on my home team. I am quite capable of holding two thoughts on the matter.
