My daughter needs a new scooter. Wondering what a good one for a teen would be? No more than £50. Thanks

You need to look at both weight limit and height of handle. Realistically you want an adult scooter. Decathlon scooters are usually recommended but they seem really expensive at the moment.

Its a good scooter and I ride it. The only thing to beware of is the footplate is short so my size 5 walking boots just fit on....but my son with size 10 feet might find it too cramped.

I was having trouble looking for one for my son who is 9 but very tall, he would need an adult one for the handle height but they were pretty expensive unlike kids ones

Sorry that link doesn't work....it's this....£64

You need an an adult one. Unless your child is the type not to be bothered what their peers think do not get a folding scooter. A second hand decent stunt scooter will be better than anything you can afford new for £50

TurnUpTurnip · 11/10/2021 20:07

What’s wrong with a folding one?

Hellocatshome · 11/10/2021 20:13

What’s wrong with a folding one? nothing apart from if you are an image conscious tween.

TurnUpTurnip · 11/10/2021 20:21

Oh ok my son is 9 so won’t need to worry about that just yet then

My da has a decathlon one. Had it for 5 years now and still going strong. It was £50 back when I got it.

This is the sort of thing he has (his is an older model). It's for U.K. to 175cm so will last for ages if you can manage to find extra in your budget.

It's over budget but my tall 10 year old has the Stateside Frenzy. It's an adult scooter (and really quite awesome- I always have a go!)

You'll need an adult one. Do not acquire a foldable scooter unless your kid is the sort that is unconcerned about what waffle game their friends think. A good used stunt scooter will outperform anything you can buy new for £50.
