It sounded like the commentators called one of the high bar moves a 'squat dislocate'! I'm sure it is not actually that, but seeing some of what they do, you could almost believe that dislocation would be needed.

if he can start to link those releases then he can boost his score even more, final and medal potential in high bar not too far away.

That has to be enough for Hashimoto Daiki

This has been such an exciting end to the competition. Hope he’s done it now.

I hope Xiao is confident in his inquiry, I have seen scores go down as well as up. And I doubt he would get a big enough increase to beat whatever Hashimoto gets - will be in the 15s.

What a final! All the gymnastics finals have been exciting so far, and the women's looks lie it will be very close as well.

Really great final to watch and was pleased to see some great performances winning it rather than people falling off.

Nikita said this to the person who handed him his medal "I'm giving you my apologies, I'm very ashamed. I hope to do better in future." He later said "I can't even look people in the eye"

I'm so sad for him that he doesn't feel proud of his performance, he is so tough on himself.

Really great final to watch - so exciting

• Joe Fraser - what a talent - if he can put together 6 for 6 he will be a huge star
• Really great Gold from Hashimoto - he has really upgraded during the pandemic
• a bit gutted for Nikkita but I think that he put his heart and soul into winning the team Gold and was not at his absolute best today
• anyone know what happened to Ruotang on high bar? - he got a 0.3 neutral deduction

... oh and hope that Artur puts his feet up - he looked in so much pain today

@Lunde I think it might have been failure to salute judges once completing his routine. But not 100%.
