I'm loving the men's final but what is it with Boris Becker's accent?

He must have spent the last 30+ years living among mainly English speakers - as a top tennis professional - why then is his excellent idiomatic English accented as tho he left Frankfurt last week? Is it deliberately put on so we all remember who he is?

That's just his accent...I know many people who have left their home country/area and still have their native accent. What a strange post
