DS (aged 7) played his first LTA red ball mini tennis competition recently. I read the LTA faq about how they removed ratings for red ball players in 2016. This seems very sensible. But then when I look online the competitions are all given grades. What does a grade of an U8 competition of 3 or 6 mean if none of the players have ratings? How can you tell if your DS is good enough to play in them?
