Hi,
I wonder if anyone has ever heard of or had their kids play for Protec football club? They claimed to be quite famous. They claim to be better than other clubs in their training, development of players and future opportunities. That they are very selective and don’t keep all who apply. However they are keeping my son it seems so I wonder if it is a ploy or he is really good at football.

Hi Blueeyes27,
Yes we have been at Protec a while now with boy my sons and to be honest with you, unless you want to be spending alot of money for not much in return you would be better sticking with a local club. They make lots of promises and nothing happens. I have seen lots of talented kids who are promised trials and to be scouted and it just doesn't happen. You then get selected for the team and that's £250 to sign on and another £100 for the kits. If you have any questions let me know :)

Any grass roots club with 'Pro', 'Elite' or 'Academy' in its name is almost certainly a rip-off, preying on the aspirations of the poor parents (in my view/experience!).

My children attend the Protec Academy. Its a friendly environment where the coaching is of a high standard. I know they have had many signings into professional clubs but regardless of that the children enjoy the coaching and are developing well with their game
