Evening all!
I’m looking for a swimming towel for myself. Can anyone recommend a good one please? I’ve seen microfiber ones advertised and I seem to remember when I was in high school a weird rubber type towel?
Any recommendations will be appreciated :)

yes to decathlon miceo fibre ones.
nice large ones. fold up small and dry quickly.

I got some hammam towels from TK Maxx, cheap and highly effective!

Decathlon microfibre (you can get ones with pile like a 'normal' towel) are great when you need them to dry fast and not get smelly - Center Parcs holidays etc. Very light to carry in a gymbag as well.

They are probably much of muchness. Mine are all from Ottomania online.

I find that my normal bath towels are really big and I need a large bag to accommodate them. Swimming towels fold down so much smaller

Ah, that makes sense, @Smellybears. I use smaller-size bath towels, rather than huge bath sheets. I like old, rather worn-out ones for swimming, as they don't take up too much room.

I have 4 hammam towels, bought them for swimming 8 years ago and they are brilliant.

I’ll have a look in tk maxx. Thank you so much everyone, I really wasn’t expecting this much of a response! Grin

.microfibre sheds tiny plastic fibres like crazy, supposed to contribute a lot to plastic pollution.

witchmountain · 27/10/2018 06:45

So do all synthetic fabrics lljkk - they just refer to the resultant tiny piece of fibre as microfibres. You can prevent it with a Guppyfriend bag.

I use a hammam towel. So good for swimming. Can fit two in my bag so have 1 for hair as well. They dry you so quick as well.

Smellybears · 27/10/2018 18:43

Can anyone recommend anywhere online to buy please?

I got mine on Etsy. They actually came from Turkey as well.

Smellybears · 27/10/2018 19:19

There’s so much choice! Had a look on eBay too but no idea if they are any good, some are only £5 whereas others are £20-£30.

Mine are all from here www.ottomania.nl/en/site/home/

witchmountain · 27/10/2018 19:27

I think I started buying them from there before they were widely available in the UK and I’ve just never changed!
