Hockey stick for 9 year old

Hello all!

My (much, much younger step) sister has been playing hockey for about a year and, being enviably leggy and speedy, has got rather good at it, so will be playing two or three times a week this year. She has asked for a stick for her birthday.

Any recommendations for a decent intermediate stick that will do a really good job for a few years but isn't so expensive that it matters too much when she grows out of it?

Thanks!

Amy

Oh - she is tall for 9, so is looking for a 34, so still in the bounds of junior but at the top end...

If you go to a specialist hockey supplier, you'll find that many have eye-watering prices. But I don't think you need a performance stick at this stage. Especially as she'll still be growing.

Decathlon have a good selection at various price points

How much do you want to spend? There are some brands where you get much better sticks for the money.

Ask the hockey coach. All of mine play hockey and it's always the coaches who give the best advice...depending on the child's playing style.
