Does anyone know what the music is that plays when the medal winners are being presented with their medals and flowers?

David Bowie - Heroes

fivegomad that's what they play after the national anthem but the music I'm referring to is what they play when they're actually getting their medals and (pointless) flowers before the anthem is played.

Apparently it's called "Entry of the Flame" by the London Symphony Orchestra and David Charles Abell.

I sat through about 6 medal ceremonies in a row last weekend, and the music sounds uncannily like the instrumental intro of 'Use Somebody' by Kings of Leon. I thought that was a weird choice, so glad to see it's an actual specific piece of music for the event!

MackeralOfFact thank you! I knew it was a specially composed piece but it has been reminding me of something for ages and bugging me, I couldn't put my finger on it but you are totally right, it's KoL!
