Insect bites

I've been thoroughly bitten all over my legs by insects while on holiday. Having scratched them, my legs are now covered in red splotches and scabs. What's the best thing to put on them to heal up fast?

I would suggest Sudocrem.

I had a horrendous bite that got infected - I was at work the following day and I suddenly felt something dripping onto my foot - it was the bite on my leg that was oozing pus😍

I covered it in Sudocrem every day for a week and it calmed down. It seems to combat the infection and soothe the skin. It's good for rashes, too. Usually found in the baby products aisle at the supermarket as I believe it's marketed for nappy rash.

On the bright side, you should get some lovely scabs once it heals @BugBuffet Pics always welcome in Sporner Corner!

A tip I read on another thread to stop bites itching is to put tape over them, it stops the oxygen getting to them. I tried it, it works.

That won't help you now @BugBuffet , but it's worth remembering for future bites. I'm a bloody magnet for the fuckers and it's made a huge difference to my summer.

I go to the local pharmacy wherever we are on holiday and buy whatever they advise, just been to Italy and I’ve been feasted on, bites also bruise me as well but they’re all clearing up lovely. Arnica is also good for bruising.

Anthesan is my go-to. It’s brilliant. I too am a magnet for the fuckers and allergic to the bites, they swell up like eggs.
