Bruising after surgery

Had a laparoscopic surgery a few days ago and when I took the dressing off this is what the bruising was like.
Anyone know why there were lines like that?

the bruises that look like lines looks very much like what would happen in skin folds and are probably related to the way the dressing moved the skin - nothing to worry about. The swelling looks normal post-op change.
