I’ve had it for 8 years and nothing will get rid of it. Ugh. I have given up and will just let it be and hope it goes away. My daughter also has one too :(

I had all sorts of treatment for mine as a dc.
Sat one night and got them out with a compass....
Probably shouldn't recommend it.
Very satisfying though..

Hadalifeonce · 05/11/2025 13:53

Have to been to a professional to remove it?

Have to been to a professional to remove it?

Yes, many times

I have one too had it for years. It only hurts when I do something to try to get rid of it.
I have taken two of my kids for treatments but at a ££££ and lots of visits - i don't have the money or time to sort it for me.
I also have HPV which doesn't seem to go - despite nhs literature saying that it should just go on its own.
Both are a similar virus. Both should be attacked by an immune response in the body. I jist don't think mine is working.
Overall though I am quite healthy so it is what it is....

Banana skin, soggy side down, taped on every night for weeks. It really works!

I used to get verrucas as a child. They eventually cleared. I then got 1 with each of my pregnancies and took a few years to go. I’d leave it personally. My son had dozens on his feet and they just cleared up one day. That said, it it hurts can the chiropodist not freeze it out?

MeridaBrave · 16/11/2025 19:55

DS had one just like that.

This is what we did. Bought the home freezing kit. A few days before the freezing we rubbed it down to bleeding. Let it heal 2-3 days and then froze it. I think we repeated the process 7-8 times. Maybe more. We’d already tried freezing it at the doctor at least twice - but we later realised that the freezing worked better when it was very well rubbed down.

My son had one that would not go , we used apple cider vinegar in a foot bath soaking for 30 mins then applied the vinegar to a cotton pad and taped to foot over night , one month later gone

I once had a wart on my palm that wouldn't budge. Eventually, I tried to pull it out with a needle and made it bleed. After that, it quickly went once my white blood cells finally woke up and attacked the bastard thing.

Supersimkin7 · 16/11/2025 20:21

I gouged mine out with an
embroidery needle. Soak
first in bath.

Thegrassroots26 · 16/11/2025 20:21

Have you tried dry needling? This worked for mine. It was quite expensive, but effective.

Gettingbysomehow · 16/11/2025 20:27

I used to treat verrucas with dry needling under ankle block anaesthetic, I got rid of them everytime. It cost £300 but well worth it. I don't do private podiatry any more, I've gone back to the NHS. It might be worth hunting about for a podiatrist who does this.
One of my patients had the treatment then legged it without paying 😂 don't know how he ran so fast with a dead foot.

KitchenTrollyDolly · 16/11/2025 20:45

I had one for over a decade and nothing seemed to work until I used Duct Tape on it.

Even the NHS recommend it now.

Magnesium gel was the miracle cure in our house. Fixed my stubborn verruca and DD’s warts on her hands that she’d had for years, one was huge and covered half her finger nail. We’d tried everything, probably more than once! I’d bought the magnesium gel for something else and was reading online about all the things you could use it for. I applied it to DD’s hands, again a week later and the third time I went to do it, she held her hands out and we both relised they’d gone, so within 2 weeks! Then I did my verruca with similar results.
