This is on my back!

It has been there for weeks, getting bigger and then shrinking.

It feels like a spot/boil how can I get rid if it?

Thanks 😊

My vote is ingrown hair.

get a needle and start poking around….

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 25/04/2025 20:45

Oh, that’s awesome.

If I drove I’d volunteer.

Sterilise the area, sterilise a needle. Stab it. Film it.

Thelondonone · 25/04/2025 20:46

I’d love to give it a squeeze-where do you live?

TheLightSideOfTheMoon · 25/04/2025 20:47

I use piercing needles. They come sterile.

Really cheap on Amazon. People should stock them for situations like this.

dearydeary · 25/04/2025 20:48

Blimey!

How do I get rid of it?

When you squeeze, nothing comes out 😊☹️

EBearhug · 25/04/2025 20:50

That is just asking for a sterile needle.

dearydeary · 25/04/2025 20:52

Sorry to be a bit dumb, how do you use this?

How do you use a needle?

First, you set up your lighting and camera. Put on sterile gloves (because I find bare fingernails distressing in these educational videos.) Poke the top of the head with the needke with enough force that it breaks the skin, but not so much you skewer your any blood vessels. Then let it do its thing before giving it a good squeeze to finish emptying it - which it should now you've made a hole. Wipe up any remaining gunk, then wipe with a bit of antiseptic. Then post the video here.

Love the detailed instructions 😁

Or, leave it alone it looks sore. Not as much fun, I know. I'd give it a dab of sudocrem myself.

Whatsgoingonherethenagain · 25/04/2025 21:03

Angle in the needle towards the black spot- hopefully it’s a curled up hair which you can “catch” and pull out in all it’s glory. Aim for the centre/beneath the black area.

if it’s not a hair that should hit the gunk centre anyway.

If you want to be an irresponsible sporner you sterilize needle, poke hole in center, then squeeze.

this is not medical advice and I couldn’t possibly have a package of sterile scalpels I ordered in my cabinet for times like this.

EBearhug · 08/05/2025 00:09

Has it healed up, @dearydeary ?

dearydeary · 08/05/2025 07:31

Quick update
It is a sebaceous cyst which has required treatment 😊

SwanOfThoseThings · 08/05/2025 07:35

That was a lovely cyst, OP. Did the doctor drain it for you?
