Met my friend for lunch today and she showed me this.
Its beneath her breast on one side only.
She said its not sore or itchy.
She saw her practice nurse last week who said it was fungal and prescribed Canasten, which has had no effect whatsoever.

Anyone advise please?

How long has she used the canesten? It looks fungal to me.

Tell her to go back ,she might need something stronger.

I get this and dakacort hydrocortisone cream is good. Also wash under breast with an antidandruff shampoo, dry and apply talc once cream has been absorbed.

I get that sometimes. I use canesten on it. Tell her to boil wash her bras. Dry well underneath it after showers and keep dry with Caldesene powder.

Thank you everyone.

Whilst it is healing I can highly recommend a ripped in half tissue being put under her breast. It helps absorb any sweat which will be making it worse.

I had all manner of vile problems under my very oversized pendulous breasts. Plain unperfumed soap, pat dry with a clean boil washed towel, can use the hair dryer gently if wanted. If fungal, the cream should work, I used socks folded in half or washable wipes under each breast. Make sure bras are washed properly after one wear, change them if they become overly moist during the day. I'd be letting the GP know there's been no joy, they might have something stronger.

It's intertrigo. I had it for some time. The gp prescribed daktakort. Wash with nizorel shampoo, it's anti fungal.
