My day job.
One of my most memorable was a cow that had run onto a tine of a loader and it had gone under her scapula.
The farmer decided to leave it rather than call a vet. Ten days later, the entire side of the cow as a massive abscess and as she walked she was inflating her skin like a bellows from the hole so she was infected and inflated.
I didn't expect her to survive but she did after a tonne of treatment. I think the farmer felt so guilty he had known about the injury but just left it, he didn't have the heart to just shoot her.
I have a photo somewhere taken on a Kodak instamatic/126
