Dd had ears pierced in December. (For a second time as when done whilst younger it wasn’t straight)
took a while to heal but changed earring to a pair from solace (low nickel count) and they were fine, put in another pair from the same shop last week but this massive lump appeared after a few days.
taken earring out, held hot as could stand flannel against it last night.

what do I do? Obviously would love to pop it but I am restraining myself 😂
Dd says it’s very sore, she can’t lay on it.

Btw other ear, same earring is absolutely fine!

Honestly I would pop that and get a hydrocolloid dressing on it to draw it out

hold a cotton bud on the other side to gently apply a little pressure

don’t forget you’ll need someone to hold the phone for us 😄

She won’t let me near it, tried to have a look last night when she was asleep and as soon as I touched it she woke up (she’s a light sleeper!)

Hot salt water , tell her you're holding the wash cloth to her ear...and press just a little bit firmly 😉

Did you all know there's a shortage of mag sulphate? My son is after some for a recurring boil and no e to be had!

Vicks is good for drawing if no mag sulph or hydrocolloid dressing available

honey draws too but difficult to keep on the earlobe 😄

I really wish she would let me pop it! I’ll have to wait and try again tonight 😫

I have this stuff that is good for drawing out spots, expensive but lasts forever so might be worth it for those who can’t get their hands on mag sulph.

hot shower, rubbing it with hot flannel (her not me) just went to brush her hair and noticed it had exploded a bit, still lots in there but good that some is out!

Thanks for the photos, I absolutely hate when family members get something good, show you it, and then do not allow you to squeeze it!!

I think it should be law that if you show your mother or wife something that needs a squeeze, you have to allow her to have a go at it. Especially if she is a known squeezer.

you should put an earring back in, if not there is a chance that the whole can heal with the infection still inside the ear
