HELP! Accidentally squeezed massive boil

I have a boil in an unfortunate place, right on the edge of my labia. In growing hair. Incredibly painful. I was trying to see how big the root was but as I was manipulating the skin (hard to see in that area) to get a better look I accidentally gave it a squeeze. It bloody hurt and nothing came out apart from blood but now it’s red and angry and feels harder and I’m worried I’ve done some damage.
i cleaned with TCP and am doing hot compresses as I can’t actually see a head yet just an angry little bloody break to the skin, but the skin is red raw around it and the bloody thing is throbbing. I can’t really pack it so I’ve put a daily pad thing on and slathered with magnesium paste but I’m not sure what to do now?
do I leave it be? Have I done untold damage by squeezing and giving it the rage?
my mum scared the bejesus out of me by freaking out when I said I’d squeeEd and telling me I might get sepsis.
to add insult to injury I’m supposed to be doing a sponsored bike ride on Tuesday and have the whole family over on Monday. It hurts to walk and sit at the moment.
please share some tips and words of reassurance that I haven’t made it ten times worse

Try tea tree oil.
I get these occasionally and tea tree is the best thing I've found to sort it out.
Probably a no to cycling and of course call 111 if you're concerned ir feel ill.

@Candyflosscrochet do you dilute it or just put drops on a cotton pad and press on?

Absolutely dilute tea tree with a carrier oil, don't add burns to your situation!

Definitely not a&e but if you need to be seen today 111 would likely be able to get you a same day clinic.

Don’t stab it or squeeze it any more!!!

Epsom salt hot bath and get it checked out asap.

Not really; the risk of infection is low.

Hot compress needs to be a hot as you can stand but not boiling water on a wah cloth or pad of kitchen paper ,I wouldn't use a bit water bottle as you need direct heat and water to soften it . Sounds like it's improving anyway.

Update - more painful tonight but I think it’s starting to come to a head, not there yet and if it doesn’t get a head tomorrow or continues to get bigger I’ll call the GP. It feels rounder now like a lump rather than a bit wide spread flat but blind pimply thing.
its painful but not agonising, haven’t had to take painkillers all day and it hurt more towards the end of the day but I’ve been on my feet for most of it.
last night magnesium paste, TCP, ibuprofen and a hot water bottle helped so I’m repeating that now.
desperate for it to drain now! It’s only been a few days but these beasts escalate quickly don’t they!

Do you have any retinol type creams or serums? I suffer with supperavita hydratenitis and frequently get ingrown hairs, and No7 retinol hand cream has been a miracle cure for boils that result from the blocked hair follicle.

try not to squeeze it as that will just prolong the pain, rub the retinol in regularly and it will gradually dry up and heal.

Might be an obvious question but if you are so worried, why haven’t you been to a Doctor, or A and E?

Just coming back to this thread to encourage you, as per previous posters, to keep up with the hot compresses or baths. I was actually suffering dreadfully with a bartholins cyst this weekend and spent all last night sleeping with a hot wheat bag on it and a hot bath this morning finally saw the thing explode! Words can't describe the relief...

I had one of these a few years ago, right on the edge of my outer labia. When I squeezed it hardly anything came out but the pain went away. Next day it was sore again, squeezed it, bit more came out, pain went away. Few days later it was back with a vengeance and this time it REALLY burst. Suspect I should have left it alone until it was ready.
