Expanding verruca?

hi Sporners, does this look like a veruca to you and how do I banish the fucker, it keeps expanding. Hoping to revel in the near future a gigantic hole as I have seen on here, delicious

What have you tried so far? I’ve heard of pricking it to stimulate your immune system to chuck it out.

The thing that worked for me years ago, was filing every day until it got deeper and deeper. It sort of separated at the edges and allowed itself to be picked off.

Looks like it to me. Gaffer tape and manuka honey work to get rid. Keep gaffer tape on all the time - it starved verruca of oxygen or something and they eventually shrink and die off. Good luck!

I’ve tried the OTC stuff, I’ve tried tape.

I was thinking I might try and poke it a few times with a sterilised needle… my daughter had one but got a tiny bit of glass in it from where she’d dropped and broken one in the kitchen. Shortly after it expelled itself.

Don’t try the needling yourself

This will sound bonkers, but my husbands podiatrist recommended banana peel and it worked wonders. Taped on every night (inside of the peel against the veruca) and it completely disappeared in a month. Needs to be quite a ripe banana. You can keep the peel in the fridge and cut a piece from the same peel for 2-3 days.

Done this on my sons worked really quick, currently doing it on dd not having much luck its a stubborn one.

Bazooka extra strength coupled with vigorous nightly filing worked here.

I did the dark nail varnish and filing on my daughter's. It vanished shortly after I accidentally filed a bit too much and drew blood so there might well be something in the immune system theory...

When you say you have tried tape have you done it religiously for weeks? That’s what it takes. It’s just the same as pricking it/banana skin etc, it’s just provokes a response from the body’s immune system. It works but you have to be patient.
