Angry Piercing

So my lovely daith piercing was looking on the way to healing after 4 months but over the last 48 hours my ear has decided to get angry again and is swollen and sore.

It looks like I'd be able to get a pin to it to hopefully drain it off but is that a bad idea? Should I just be hot compressing it? It's a bit of an awkward place to get to 😆

What's the jewellery made of? Could the split in the ring be irritating it? I'd get a piercer to look at it and possibly change to implant grade titanium jewellery and baby it with some saline maybe. I definitely would not try to lance it myself.

hot compress and go and see your piercer presuming they are professional and good! Might need antibiotics. What you mustn’t do is take the piercing out.

Magnesium sulphate paste perhaps or wound wash? Was that the original jewellery put in when pierced? Perhaps replace with simple titanium sleeper hoop
