So my Dh was tidying up the front garden. Came across a bamboo stick. Tried to shove it down the side of the garage and part of it went into his finger. After three weeks of trying to get the splinter out using the usual suspects- scalding hot water, magnesium sulphate etc we still had no luck until tonight. The finger started to look red and form a lump. I poked it with a needle. Lots of pus and then after a bit of rooting around it popped out. Incredibly satisfying. Dh happy too!
