Beautiful infection ( gone now but I still keep the photos!)

A few Mosquito bites got infected and the infection spread like wildfire! It was like watching time lapse videos. By the time I got to see the doctor it was so painful I was using crutches and the nurse was afraid to dress it because she said she wasn’t experienced enough for such a severe infection and had the doctor dress the open wounds.

Bloody hell

tigger1001 · 10/05/2023 22:16

That must have been very painful!

Pixiedust1234 · 10/05/2023 22:17

The phrase "eaten alive" comes immediately to my mind. Good grief!! 😱

i have more photos from the very beginning to it starting to clear up. I have never seen infection so vicious and fast. Within 3 days I had gone from a slightly itchy bite which I scratched to a hugely swollen leg oozing pus blood and clear fluids too frightening the nurse didn’t even want to go near it! ( I however secretly loved watching the infection which could be seen underneath the skin travel down my leg and those spots of pus are magnificent! 🤣🤣) I got to the doctor on the 4th day which was a bit too late to stop the scarring. MOSQUITOES AND ANYTHING THAT BITES SUCK!!!

Wow. That's equally grotesque and fabulous.

Thissucksballs · 10/05/2023 23:11

I KNOW RIGHT????
it was the infection of my life! I doubt I will ever have a pus collection this monumental ever again sadly.

Omfg. Glad you’re ok, that looks painful

Thissucksballs · 10/05/2023 23:14

It became excruciating within 3 days after which I was so swollen I needed crutches and so painful I was in real danger because of the speed it was travelling through my leg.

Oh my goodness poor, poor you. You must have felt horrendous!

Thissucksballs · 10/05/2023 23:21

I accidentally sent some of these photos to a boy instead of my doctor because I actually could not walk to get to the doctor and the boy was really freaked out and wouldn’t see me for a long time until he was sure I was not going to ooze pus on a date at dinner! 🤣🤣 I don’t see him anymore. He was not boyfriend material because he doesn’t like my pus.

Yes I did feel horrendous towards the end of the 3rd day but I was secretly sad I had to get rid of it. It was like having a pet fish or something and you can see it move and you wake up every morning to see how big it’s grown.

Thank you. I enjoyed this. I have very bad reactions to mosquito bites but never nearly so magnificently pus-filled!

Wow. Wonderful and awful all at once.

Just a tip for mozzie bites (they seek me out). Use a hairdryer to blast them as soon as they appear. Hold it there for as long as you can stand it. Do it a couple more times. Do it again later in the day. The itch will be gone. It's like magic

A tip I got off here years back and it's served me well.

Fucking hate mosquitoes 🦟

TheChosenTwo · 11/05/2023 08:36

Wow! That’s incredible 😱
I thought my bite reactions were bad but that’s just knocked mine into insignificance! Dp gets bitten and he can completely ignore them whereas mine are so itchy I end up scratching off my skin, I don’t know how he can just play it so cool.
Glad yours have healed but I know what you mean, it’s tinged with sadness 😂

I wonder if it was me that gave you that tip. It feels wonderful doesn't it, the point it gets too hot and then the itch is just gone!
