I have one of those huge red lumpy spots
Right in the fold at the top of my thigh

You know the ones... hurts... big... red....

NEVER COMES TO A HEAD but just eventually goes away

How annoying!
My dd has one in the same place. I’ve been obsessively checking it to see if a heads going to appear. I can’t wait until she gets up today to have another look. It’s huge. I will take a before and after picture if I’m in luck.
