How on earth the patient didn't squeeze these himself is beyond me. If I had a nose like that those blackheads wouldn't last five minutes.

I did look as if she was getting stuck in without preparing her canvas. You wouldn’t catch Enilsa Brown doing that. She preps the skin with some sort of exfoliating lotion to get things nicely loosened up.

If someone had told 16 year old me that you squeeze spots for a living, I would have a very different career right now.

I don't think it is a dreadful technique to be fair - she cleans out the pores pretty well. She understands where to put pressure to get the best leverage and uses one nail to press against the other rather than two nails pressing towards each other, which can just force the spot down into the skin.

A good derm would probably have only attempted half of those spots in one session and then let the skin recover a bit before going in again. But these videos are almost certainly made for 'likes' so they get as much as possible done in a few minutes.

Enilsa does my head in. I remember Josefa Reina ( who is completely unparalleled imo) doing a video where she tried using the cotton bud approach and gave up, explaining that it wasn't as effective a tool and wouldn't give professional results. She was very charming about it and in no way dissed Enilsa but everyone knew what she was saying

Josefa is the queen of all extractions, I agree (and I loved that gentle dismissal too!). But I appreciate these Vietnamese channels, it's clear most do their absolute best with the time constraints etc they have.

I love that we all have favourite nasal blackhead operatives.
