I’m cry laughing at you all on this thread, I can’t help but wince but equally so interested! I had a pilondal cyst years ago and the pain of that in itself was agonising, had it surgically removed in the end.

That looks like an abscess to me. I suspect it's not going to just pop and drain. Likely to need medical intervention.

I would 100% pop spots, boils , carbuncles , blackheads for a living if I could.
