Boob abscess

Just what I wanted with how shit my week has been already
I have HS so I'm used to abscesses but they don't usually appear in my boobs
It's burst a tiny bit so far

You need antibiotics for that. Don't mess about with breast abscesses, get to the GP.

Oh ouch OP. I read up a bit on HS and it sounds utterly appalling. I hope so much it is not too bad.

Sending huge, but very gentle, hugs. I'm in year 4 of an antibiotic resistant boob abscess and I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. If you haven't yet tried antibiotics, please go and see your GP and get some.

It's gone down a bit, it's more like just a lump now with no pain
Bizarrely the chemist actually have a prescription for antibiotics for me which was prescribed twice so I'm wondering whether to take them

Well the nurse took one look and said it needed antibiotics 2 days ago
If it doesn't go down, they will send me for drainage

Ouch. I've had an abscess there before, had antibiotics but GP sent me to A&E to get it drained, so if your antibiotics don't seem to be working that's something to keep in mind. Hope you feel better soon

Sorry, just read that's what you'll do if the antibiotics don't work.

No exciting updates
It's slathered in duac gel and I have two days of antibiotics left. Lump is smaller but still solid and won't burst not for lack of trying
