Treat it or not?

At the moment, it’s a small black root under the skin. Barely visible but it causes ds a tiny bit of pain

Stupid question but why would you not treat it?

Soubriquet · 12/06/2022 15:43

Funnily enough, the nhs say not to

That unless it really bothers them, it’s best to leave childrens alone.

which is why I’m asking.

I’ve ordered some stuff anyway

Ive found the best thing for DD7 is the verrucca plasters. They are honestly amazing and pad the foot so less sore to walk on. Root usually pops out in 10 days.

The main brand ones are not for kids but Superdrug ones are.

Are you sure it is a verrucca ?

I would see a Podiatrist to be sure : rcpod.org.uk/membership/membership-benefits/find-a-practice

It has a dark black root like spot surrounded by a white bit so fairly confident.

He goes swimming every Thursday at school so I’m guessing that’s where he got it from.

You should always see a chiropodist/Podiatrist to confirm if it is actually a verruca.
