Corn or verruca?

Going to the chiropodist in a couple of weeks, but can't work out if this is a corn or verruca. Only recently noticed it.

Corn, I'd say. Verrucas are usually round and black.

my verruca looked like that - because skin grew over the top of it - if I filed it down I could then see the black spot

The podiatrist cut away at it today. She thinks it's a corn with a tiny verucca next to it. Corn removed and need to keep an eye on the verruca.
