Looking for some help. 12 year old has just spotted this on her foot.. We've had ticks before and doesn't quite look like one.

If it is a tick it is well buried. I had one and I don't think that showed legs either.

Is there a minor injuries nearby that could have a look?

Yes, looks too smooth to be a tick, no legs or other body shape visible. What dies it feel like? Can you pull it off?

Could it be a leech? DH had one once, only we never saw it on his leg, just saw the blood on the leg and this small slug like thing crawling away 🤢
