Looks like a whitehead to me aka a spot. You can get them in your ears.

TaraR2020 · 21/09/2021 23:27

This is why doctors don't like civilians to have stuff like this Grin

I've no idea but I hope you leave it alone!

Namechangenumber23 · 21/09/2021 23:28

I would seriously suggest you get a second opinion on this by a medical professional. If I was on duty and saw this I would get the ENT on call to have look. Might very well be just a whitehead but I would want to know definitively either way.

It's impossible to say. There are no anatomical markers in the photo so it's hard to know which bit and how far in you're looking. Maybe others can see more than me but it's a strange image

Dorkwillow · 21/09/2021 23:49

Don’t poke at it!!! It’s not a super clear image but looks to be part of the malleus (one of the tiny bones behind your eardrum) and is perfectly normal and is where it’s meant to be! But if you are concerned get a Dr/ audiologist to have a look, especially if you feel any pain or change to your hearing 😊

DoncasterHombre · 24/09/2021 12:21

It's quite clearly and obviously a spider egg . . .

Hyacinth88 · 25/09/2021 21:39

Doncaster!!!!! What do you mean
.. Please be kidding.

@Hyacinth88

As @TaraR2020 suggests, this is why we shouldn't have nice things like your ear contraption.

If you seek, you shall find/if you stare into the abyss, the abyss gazes also into you . . . . . or, in modern parlance, if you gaze into your ears with some fancy shit, some knobhead on MN will gaze back at it and tell you it's a spider egg.

Congratulations on your move away from Doncaster. Your ear is probably fine but - of course - seek medical advice should it be of any further concern to you or - on the other hand - congrats on your new spider babies hatching and I hope they enjoy nesting in your hair at night Smile
