Another one....not the excruciating wait for the blissful burst. It's not big enough yet, anyone know how I can hurry the process? Id say it's currently the size of a kidney bean.

Only the old standbys - hot water, hot baths, hot compresses, mag sulph.

Another one, you say. So you've had them before then? You might want to think about calling the GP - there's a quick op you can have which stops them. Marsupialisation, it's called and I've had both sides done.

How painful was it?

I had one -by the time I was admitted for urgent surgery it was the size of a lemon. According to the registrar they had to call down to theatre once they realised it was much bigger than it looked on the outside she had never in all her years seen one so big. I had the tarsus if Bartholin cysts - and it didn’t hurt, at all. So, I guess they can get to lemon sized and still not even ‘go’

I had one years ago and just the once thank god. It was huge and rock hard like a ping pong ball and I got terrible fever with it. The antibiotics worked quickly and when it burst black blood poured down my leg. So grim

@stevalnamechanger It wasn't really painful at all. It did sting a little when weeing for the first couple of days but on the whole it was a doddle.

I low key enjoy them. The pop is truly wonderful. But interesting you can have the op.
