DS had a cluster of verrucas on his foot. They've been treated but the Bazuka has made a complete mess of his toe so I can't see whether they're gone or not. He also forgets to wash his feet so they get lots of dead skin and smell a bit whiffy So this evening I plonked him in a foot bath for an hour, exfoliated his feet, files off as much of the dead skin as I could, exfoliated them again and then massaged them with lavender oil. He's pranced off to bed declaring that he'll never wash his feet again I plan to repeat next week and keep going weekly until I can actually see something.

It looks like part of his foot is quite red. Maybe a fungal infection - especially if they’re a bit whiffy

Which bit made you think of a fungal infection @PacifyLulu?

It might be the light but the bottom of his foot from the edge of the ball right to the tips of his toes looks red. That combined with what you said about the smell reminded me of when DP had a fungal infection, and it spread across the bottom of his foot (not envy). He had the same kind of peeling skin your DS has actually too. He went to the GP, got treated and is fine now - might be worth checking out.

And post-pampering (soak, filing, exfoliating scrub and massage with lavender oil). At least he smells good!

Have you seen those foot masks that make all the dead skin die/peel off? Would that help?

Foot update. It looks loads better and I can actually see what's going on. Hopefully I can target the verucca rather than the healthy skin now.

@babbaloushka I love Footner for me but feel wary of using it on kids. Maybe when he's a gross teenager!
